Uniforms & Clothing

The Academy has its own regulation uniform for all disciplines. Following the initial trial period of half a term it is an important part of the proceedings to equip the children with the correct kit. There are a number of reasons why this is enforced:

dance is a discipline and turning up to class in the correct clothing and hair groomed correctly is part of this discipline
feeling smart and ready in the correct kit is proven to greatly enhance a child’s approach and attitude towards class
it gives the children a sense of belonging and being part of a group
it allows the children to dance without restriction and the clean lines allow the teacher to correct posture and alignment

The relevant regulation uniform lists will be supplied upon enrolling at the Academy.

For ballet, Pre-Primary and Primary uniforms are available from our local stockists. For Grade 1 and above, regulation leotards and cross-over cardigans are available from Miss Lynn only. Ballet basics such as ballet shoes, socks and tights can be purchased from our local stockists.

The uniform which is used for Modern Theatre, Tap, Contemporary and Acrobatic Arts classes is the same and all these items are available from our local stockists.
