Miss Georgina Redding-Lang
We are delighted that Georgina has joined the teaching staff and she is proving a great asset to the Academy . She currently teaches Theatrical Dance and DDMIX on Friday evenings and from September 2016, she will also be teaching Acrobatic Arts, Pre-Primary Tap and Adult Ballet.
Georgina is an ex-student who trained at the Royal Academy of Dance and successfully gained a 2:1 degree and graduated with BA Hons in Ballet Education, as well as becoming trained as a Zumba and DDMIX instructor. She has also recently completed her qualification as an Acrobatic Arts instructor and is now studying towards her ISTD Tap teaching examination.

Arobatic Arts – NEW CLASS
Following the taster workshop, I am delighted to announce that Acrobatic Arts will be added to the Academy curriculum from September 2016. The classes will take place on Monday and Friday evenings and will be taught by Miss Georgina Redding-Lang. Please refer to the Classes page for more information about this exciting new discipline.
Adult Ballet – NEW CLASS
Due to popular demand, we plan to introduce an Adult Ballet class on Thursday evenings from September 2016. The class will be suitable for absolute beginners.
Tapathon – Sunday 20th November 2016
We will once again be taking part in this year’s Tapathon! This is a nationwide tap dancing event in aid of BBC Children in Need and its aim is to set a new Guinness World Record for the greatest number of people performing the same tap routine at multiple venues, simultaneously. The Tapathon, which is now an annual event, is a great opportunity for tap dancing enthusiasts of all ages and tap dancing ability to come together and enjoy being part of a very worthwhile day whilst raising funds for some of the UK’s most disadvantaged children. The day is open to all tap students, including the adult tappers and, whilst the day is entirely optional, the more pupils who take part the more fun the day will be! Our venue (The Farley Wood Centre) will be one of the many hundreds of different locations across the UK taking part.
“The World On Stage” – Sunday 28th and Monday 29th May 2017
Our next production will once again take place at The Wilde Theatre in Bracknell. Watch this space for further updates!
